Tweedsmuir North Provincial Park BC

Redfern River Lodge is located in the Northern section of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada. The park, originally one of the earliest parks established in the provincial park system was split in to North and South. North Tweedsmuir Provincial Park covers 446,092 hectares and the Tweedsmuir Protected Area covers 15 hectares. The park is home to such recreational activities as fishing, boating, camping, hunting, and hiking. The recreation possibilities for those who love the outdoors are nearly endless.

North Tweedsmuir is located about a 480 km flight from Vancouver BC. The park is south of Highway 16 around 90-100 km between Burns Lake and Houston.

If you are visiting the area on a fishing trip, you will find Mountain Whitefish, Rainbow Trout, Kokanee, and Bubot. You must have an appropriate BC Fishing license to fish anywhere in British Columbia. There are tons of hiking trails in the park, mostly leading to high country, rivers and lakes. Please stick to the designated trails for your own safety and the preservation of plant and wildlife within the park. As these backcountry trails are not maintained by BC Parks anyone traveling on these trails should carry the appropriate gear such as a compass and maps.
